About the Role:
As a Service Technician, you will serve as a functional expert and dispatcher for the regional Service Technician team. This will include; Creating and assigning work orders, closing out tickets, submitting end of day reports, providing on-call support, training the Field teams, regional audits, and overseeing part inventory in the region. You will also be required to; build, install, maintain, repair, and sometimes move our smart fridges. Smart fridges have two components and you need to be proficient in both: mechanical and technological.  This role does require travel at times (20%), as well as driving to locations within 3.5 hours on a weekly basis.  This role will report directly to the Regional Distribution Manager.

Responsibilities as a Service Technician Level 2:

  • Dispatch: Create and assign Work orders, close out tickets, conduct remote fixes
  • Training and on-call support
  • Audits: Parts Inventory, 3PL warehouses, sites/fridges, local STs and vehicles
  • Fridge repairs and service tickets
  • Smart fridge installations, relocations, and removals
  • Building out of smart fridges for deployment
  • Complete any special tasks assigned by your supervisor or manager.
  • Complete Department of Health Inspection of Farmer’s Fridge smart fridges

Necessary knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Valid Driver License
  • Ability to use hand tools such as drills and pliers
  • Ability to use basic technology (use apps for tracking work, and execute basic commands on the OS at the fridge)
  • Experience working with refrigerated vending machines - Preferred
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Zendesk, Slack, CMS, , Paycor, and preferred  
  • Google Forms, Gmail
  • Must have ability to obtain proper clearance and badging at all fridge locations in the market including airports.
  • Pass and maintain market specific food handler certifications and state compliant certifications
  • Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirement and safety guidelines
  • Must have 3 years of field technician experience
  • Ability To Lift And Pull Objects In Excess Of 100 Lbs With Frequent Lifting And/Or Carrying Objects Up To 50+ Lbs
