Porter + Waste Operator
Hourly Rate: $17.15 per hour + $2.50 shift differential (for weekend shifts)/ $250 Sign-on BONUS!
Eligibility for a $250 bonus program on a quarterly basis
Shift:
Friday - Sunday, 4:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Location: 5370 S. Cicero Ave., Chicago, IL

Responsibilities as a Porter:
Keep the floor and floor drains in the Production rooms and other rooms clean and free of debris
Dump trash and compost bins to ensure they remain useable for Production
Take racks of dirty dishes from the Production rooms and deliver them to the dish room to exchange for empties
Take full trash, compost, and cardboard carts to the Waste Operator to exchange for empties
Assist with other projects as needed ie. spill clean-up, floor scrubbing, etc.
Responsibilities as a Waste Operator:
- Receive full trash, compost, and cardboard carts from Porters to exchange for empties
- Dump trash carts into cardboard compactor, trash compactor, recycling bin, or compost bin
- Sort leftover products to stock employee fridge or dump into the trash, compost, and recycling if expired
- Keep the Trash Room, dock area, and warehouse space tidy
- Utilize floor scrubber machine to clean floors
- Assist with other projects as needed ie. sorting items for donation, covering if short-handed Porters on the floor
Necessary knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Able to stand and work for long periods of time (8+ hour shifts) in a cold environment (around 40 degrees) and in a hot environment.
- Must be able and willing to work in refrigerated coolers (~38⁰F)
- Able to lift 25-50 lbs.
- Able to stay organized and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal, and written communication skills (English preferred).
- Strong organization and administrative skills
